Severe delays on M62 near Leeds as lorry breaks down on M1 slip road

The lorry has stalled on the M62 eastbound at Junction 29, blocking the slip road to the M1 at Junction 42.

The AA reports: "Lane closed on exit ramp and slow traffic due to stalled truck on M62 Eastbound at J29 M1 J42 (Lofthouse).

"Lane one (of two) is closed on the exit slip heading towards the Lofthouse interchange."

Traffic officers are at the scene to recover the lorry, but the lane closure is causing major delays on the M62 - adding to rush hour congestion.
