Police incident closes two lanes of M1 near Wakefield
The M1 has been partly closed near Wakefield due to a police incident.
Officers attended the scene on the northbound carriageway between Junction 40 at Ossett and Junction 41 at Carr Gate at about 6.45pm.
Lane one and two were closed due to the incident.
Highways England tweeted: "M1 between J40 Ossett to J41 Carr Gate northbound has a lane one and two closure for a police incident.
"Traffic Officers are on scene assisting with West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit."
The road had reopened by about 7.30pm.
