Police appeal after Leeds biker dies in crash with lorry

POlice have named a biker who died in a crash with a lorry in Leeds.

Charles Page, of Great Preston, near Kippax, was fatally injured when his black Yamaha motorcycle was in collision with a red HGV on Whitehouse Lane in the village at about 11.10am on Friday.

The 43-year-old died at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Sergeant Ann Drury, of West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Enquiry Team, said: “We would urge anyone who witnessed the collision itself or believes they may have seen either of the vehicles involved immediately prior to the collision to call the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 101.”
