Man dies after being knocked down on Leeds ring road

A man died after being hit by a car as he crossed Leeds ring road on Wednesday night.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the victim, a local man in his 30s, suffered fatal injuries when he was hit by a grey Lexus CT200 at Ramshead Approach in Seacroft at about 6.30pm.

He was taken by ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary but died on Thursday morning. His family has been informed.

Det Sgt Carole Greaves said: “We would urge anyone who witnessed this collision or believes they saw the vehicle or pedestrian involved immediately prior to this incident to call the major collision enquiry team on 101.”
