'Is the M62 a drag strip?!': Anger at 'ridiculous' speeding West Yorkshire driver clocked by police at 133mph

Police responding to concerns from residents in West Yorkshire caught multiple drivers speeding on the M62 - including one clocked at 133mph.

West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit said officers were deployed in Huddersfield following reports of speeding drivers.

In one night, drivers were clocked at speeds of 114mph, 124mph and 133mph.

Motorway Martin tweeted: "Ridiculous speeds tonight on the M62".

Officers were deployed with a pro laser to catch the speeding motorists.

WYP Roads Policing Unit said: "We have been responding to concerns from residents near to the M62 at Huddersfield regarding speeding cars.

"Officers have been deployed with a Pro Laser and detected a number of speeding vehicles."

Angry social media users took to Twitter to convey their disgust at the speeds.

One said: "Is the M62 a drag strip?!"
