Jet 2 cancel ALL flights to Italy from Leeds Bradford Airport and Manchester Airport

Top floor of Hyde Park terrace house on fire

The fire service were called to the scene in Hyde Park at 4am - a specific street name was not given at this time.

The fire was in a terraced property and the top floor was "fully involved in the fire", according to West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue logs.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using 1 jet brought the fire under control.  

A specialist aerial fire engine attended the scene to work remove the roof of the property. 

 There were no reports of any injuries.

4 fire engines were sent to deal with the emergency from Leeds Central and Hunslet Fire  

Stations were in attendance with support from Bradford’s aerial.
