There are huge delays on both the M1 and M62 in Leeds after a rush-hour crash.

Traffic is queuing on the M1 northbound near Leeds due to a crash, traffic service Inrix reported.

The crash has now been moved to the hard shoulder.

The incident is causing tailbacks on the M62 in both directions.

Inrix reported: "Queueing traffic due to accident, now on the hard shoulder on M1 Northbound from J42 M62 J29 (Lofthouse) to J44 A639 (Leeds South / Rothwell).

"Congestion to J40 (Ossett) and there is traffic on the slip roads at J42 (Lofthouse), causing tailbacks onto the M62 in both directions."

All lanes have been re-opened, Inrix reported.
