A SCHOOLBOY was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Leeds.

The 11-year-old was struck by a black Vauxhall Corsa just after 2.50pm today (June 24), near Woodhall Park post office in Pudsey.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary after the incident.

The A647 Bradford Road was closed eastbound between Galloway Lane and the Farsley ring road, causing delays.
