BMW driver escapes with no injuries after crashing into Leeds roundabout 'while late for work'

A BMW driver has escaped with no injuries after a serious crash at a roundabout in Leeds.

It happened on the A63 Selby Road in Garforth.

The driver is alleged to have 'lost control' of their car as a result of being 'late for work', according to West Yorkshire Police.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit (RPU) shared a picture of the wrecked BMW, which had to be lifted from its roof by a crane.

The driver escaped with no injuries and is due to appear in court.

The RPU said: "The driver was late for work and as a result of excess speed, lost control.

"Thankfully no injuries and the driver awaits court."
