Arriva bus timetables set to change in Leeds from August 31

The services affected include the 163, 166, 167, 168, 189, 202, 203, 402, 403, N10, X60.

The changes are to be introduced on August 31 according to Arriva.

The routes in Leeds which will change are as follows:

163/166 Castleford – Allerton Bywater – Kippax – Garforth – Colton – Cross Gates – Leeds

Minor changes will be introduced to the timetable.

164 Selby - Thorpe Willoughby - Hambleton - Monk Fryston - South Milford - Sherburn-in-Elmet – Micklefield – Garforth – Colton - Cross Gates – Leeds

A new service to replace services 402/403. Service 164 will run generally every two-hours Monday to Saturday daytime, with additional peak time journeys between Sherburn-in-Elmet and Leeds, and additional daytime journeys between Garforth and Leeds. Some service 164 journeys, around key shift change times, will additionally call at or extend to Sherburn Industrial Estate.

Between Colton and Leeds, service 164 will follow the same route as existing service 163, except in Leeds City Centre where service 164 will serve Leeds City Bus Station instead of the city centre loop. In the opposite direction, service 164 will depart Leeds City Bus Station and additionally call at Vicar Lane and York Street.

167/168 Castleford – Allerton Bywater – Swillington – Woodlesford – Stourton - Leeds

A revised timetable will be introduced.

189 Wakefield – Normanton – Castleford – Mickletown – Oulton – Stourton - Leeds

The 1735 journey on a Saturday from Wakefield to Castleford is extended to Leeds.

202/203 Leeds – White Rose Shopping Centre – Dewsbury – Mirfield – Cooper Bridge - Huddersfield

The later Friday/Saturday evening journeys will remain suspended for the time being.

402/403 Selby – Thorpe Willoughby – Hambleton – South Milford – Sherburn-in-Elmet – Micklefield – Garforth – Colton - Cross Gates – Leeds

This service will be renumbered 164, with a brand new timetable. Buses will continue to run Monday to Saturday daytime, generally every two hours, with additional peak time journeys between Sherburn-in-Elmet and Leeds.

N9 Leeds – Gildersome – Birstall – Batley – Heckmondwike - Cleckheaton

This service will remain suspended for the time being.

N10 Leeds – Stourton –Lofthouse - Outwood – Wakefield

This service will remain suspended for the time being.

X60 Castleford – Allerton Bywater – Kippax – Leeds

This service will be restored with timings changed by up to 10 minutes.
