350 litre spill from jack-knifed HGV on M62 near Leeds will cause significant delays all night

A 350 spill from a jack-knifed HGV is set to cause delays for the rest of the evening.

There are huge delays on the M62 this evening after a lorry jack-knifed - blocking three lanes.

The incident - on the M62 eastbound between J32 for Castleford and 32A - occurred shortly before 4pm

In an update, Highways England said significant delays would last for the rest of the night.

The HGV has now been moved, but the spillage remains on the carriageway.

In a tweet, Highways England said: "Due to the 350 litre spill of diesel onto the carriageway we will be shortly returning to only 1 lane passing the scene in order to resurface the road.

"There will be significant delays in the area throughout the evening and night.

"Please plan your journeys."
