Everyone who has attended Leeds Festival throughout the years heads home with a story to tell.

Retro: These photos from 2008 Leeds Festival will bring back memories

From regrettable tattoos to unwanted piercings, too much alcohol to crowd-surfing while your favourite act headlines, Leeds Festival will have undoubtedly produced memories that will stay with people forever.

And now, many of those memories will be up on the silver screen thanks to upcoming comedy The Festival.

And if the trailer is anything to go by, it look hilarious!

Created by Iain Morris, the mind behind hit Channel 4 show The Inbetweeners, and starring Joe Thomas (who played Simon in the same show), The Festival follows one man's journey through a major UK music festival.

The trailer shows numerous embarrassing encounters for the university leaver, from sleeping in a strangers car to waking up with a swollen (and sore looking) nipple ring.

The blurb for the film, which is due for release on Friday, August 17 , says: "When Nick’s (Joe Thomas) girlfriend dumps him at graduation, he has a colossal meltdown in front of the entire university. He’s convinced his life is over, but his best mate Shane (Hammed Animashaun) has the perfect solution: three days at an epic music festival. With the help of “festival aficionado” and certified oddball Amy (Claudia O’Doherty), Shane tries to get Nick to embrace the music, the mayhem and the mud."

Leeds Festival takes place from August 24 to August 26 with headline acts including Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar and Kings of Leon.
