Peak time bus delays in Leeds as crash backs up Sheepscar Interchange

Rush hour bus users in Leeds face delays of around 30 minutes.

Bus services across the city were already delayed heading into the rush hours - with an accident on Clay Pit Lane adding to the congestion.

Metro Travel News tweeted: "Most arterial routes heading out of the City centre are busy which is causing some delays to First Bus services.

"Delays to Leeds city services 2/3/3A/12/13/13A/48 due to an RTC at Sheepscar Interchange."

The accident has happened in lane one of three outbound at the junction with Meanwood Road.

First Bus said their worst affected routes were the 4, 40, X14, 35, 50, 50a and 16.

A diversion in place at Pontefract Lane in Cross Green is also causing delays of 30 minutes to the PR2 park and ride service.
