The worst affected services are the 4, 5, 11, 15, 16, 19/19A, 35, 54, 55 and 91.

Bus operator Flying Tiger has also warned of delays.

A seven vehicle crash on the M1 late on Wednesday afternoon contributed to the gridlock in Leeds, particularly on the M621.

A broken down vehicle on the Inner Ring Road also caused problems, according to Leeds Travel Info.

There has also been an accident on Seacroft's The Green, with buses being diverted.
