Emergency services at the scene of serious crash in Bramley
All three emergency services have been called to the scene of a serious crash in the centre of Bramley.
Police, fire and ambulance services were in attendance at Lower Town Street near Bramley Shopping Centre late on Wednesday evening following reports of the collision.
Crime Scene Investigation officers were also at the scene.
Pictures on social media showed fire fighters breaking in to a silver car which was badly damaged.
Reports from witnesses at the scene suggested one of the vehicles involved in the smash had been a police vehicle, although West Yorkshire Police was unable to confirm this.
Town Street remains closed while emergency services deal with the collision.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police confirmed the force was called at 21.19 to reports of a collision.
The spokesman said: "There has been a collision on Lower Town Street. It looks like the road is closed and ambulance and fire services are there.
"We are still getting details and there is no information at the moment about injuries."
Motorists are being warned to avoid the area while Lower Town Street remains closed by police.
