This Leeds gym will pay you to lose weight

Firehouse Fitness on Great George Street is hosting the the Giffgaff Money Fit Gym Challenge on January 27.

Participants sign up for a 20-minute session and can earn 20p for each calorie they burn.

The payment is capped at £40 if you reach 200 calories.

The challenge runs from 12-3pm and gym-goers must book a slot in advance to take part.

The gym's co-owner Rob McGuigan said:

“We’re tremendously excited to work with giffgaff money in hosting the challenge. No matter how you do it, it’s important to make physical fitness a key part of your life. That’s what we do for hundreds of gym-goers in Leeds. Remember that it’s never too late to start getting a little more active, and if you’re earning money while you’re doing it – well, who can say no to that?”
