Theatre audiences set to be dazzled by burlesque show in Wakefield

Have your say

Nostalgia and a little bit of naughtiness will take to the stage in Wakefield when a national touring burlesque show hits the town.

An Evening of Burlesque has made its way to the Wakefield Theatre Royal after touring London and Europe. The show, which sparkles with couture costumes recalling the golden eras of burlesque, is open to over 18s only.

The show, which describes itself as ‘all tease, no sleaze’ is built on a combination of vocals, choreography, mischief, magic, frivolity and fun.

And Wakefield may be in for a surprise of its own on the night as theatre-goers attending the show traditionally turn up on the night in their own fancy dress ensembles.
