Leeds’ own The Pigeon Detectives will kick off this year’s annual music festival next week.
Organisers announced yesterday that the indie rockers will take to the stage at Bramham Park on August 24 to officially launch the 2017 edition of Leeds Festival.
They will headline the Dance to the Radio Stage at the festival, which runs from August 25-27 this year.
The band, from Rothwell, will perform alongside High Tyde, an act from Brighton as well as FLING, Marsicans and Dead Naked Hippies.
The stage will be hosted from 7pm.
The Pigeon Detectives are performing at Leeds’ O2 Academy in November as part of an anniversary tour.
