Test your skills on Ninja Warrior-style course coming to Leeds
Adrenalin junkies can launch themselves across a new Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course this Spring to help raise vital cash for a Leeds hospice.
St Gemma’s Hospice in Moortown has added the brand new event to its fundraising line-up for 2018 and hope it will appeal to adventure fans across the city.
Taking pace at Harewood house on Saturday April 28, the Leeds Ninja Challenge will test daredevils’ speed and agility across a 5k course featuring scramble nets, rat run tubes, slides and more before reaching the end zone and slamming the button to be crowned a Ninja Champion.
Event organiser Alice Coggan said: “The Leeds Ninja Challenge is a brand new event for us this year and we are really excited about it.W e have organised a lot of 5k challenges in the past such as the Leeds Colour Run and the Leeds Bubble Rush but this year we wanted to step it up a notch and follow the trend of ‘obstacle courses, ninja warrior and tough mudder’ type events and still be able to include families and all abilities. That is what we have kept in mind while we were designing the Leeds Ninja Challenge.
“We find that these events are so well supported by the local community, the amazing participants that we have had in the past have raised thousands of pounds for St Gemma’s Hospice which is the main purpose of putting on these events. We are hoping that the event will raise £60,000 for St Gemma’s and encourage everyone that takes part to raise sponsorship.”
This event is suitable for adults and children, though anyone under 1.2 metres will need to take the mini ninja inflatable option next to some of the bigger obstacles.
Registration fees include a ninja t-shirt and bandana to get you in the spirit.
