Teenagers scoop a #YEPleeds visit

TWO teenagers who won the Yorkshire Evening Post's high school blogging competition saw first hand how the paper is put together online and in print.

Francesca Hunt and Esther Frempong, both 16, from Corpus Christi Catholic College in Leeds, spent the morning at the YEP yesterday.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

They enjoyed touring the offices, meeting staff and seeing how key decisions are made with the rare chance to attend editorial conference where the paper is planned.

Their blogs were selected as the winners after we asked girls aged 11-18 to write on an issue they felt strongly about to mark International Women’s Day earlier this month.

The articles were featured in the paper and online together with a selection of other entries which covered issues such as anxiety, feminism and body image.
