A teenager will be interviewed by police today following a gun scare outside a Leeds secondary school.

Leeds East Academy in Seacroft kept pupils indoors yesterday afternoon after reports someone was seen with a weapon near the school site.
Police later confirmed that it was an 'imitation firearm'.

They have now added that a 14-year-old boy was arrested and a BB gun capable of firing plastic pellets was recovered.

The youth was later released from custody and is due to be interviewed about the incident today under voluntary attendance at a police station.
