Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital has invested in MRI and CT scanners to improve care for patients in the city.
The CT scanner will be the only one in West Yorkshire able to offer advanced cardiac imaging so that clinicians can better pinpoint heart-related issues. It can also offer detailed scans for patients with bowel problems.
Andrew Pimperton, diagnostic services manager at the hospital, said: “This is an exciting development which will both enhance our patients’ experiences and assist our expert staff and nationally renowned consultants in providing the best health care.”
Nuffield Health reinvests its profits into care. With mobile scanners currently in place, the CT and MRI scanners will be running by mid-October and January respectively.
