Nature lovers can explore two RSPB reserves at dusk during guided walks this winter.

RSPB St Aidan’s nature park, near Leeds, and RSPB Fairburn Ings nature reserve, near Castleford, will offer people the opportunity to explore the reserves as the light dims and darkness takes over. Visitors will learn more about the sights and sounds of dusk during the walks, which will last about two hours.

The St Aidan’s walk will take place on Monday, December 11 and the Fairburn one on St Wednesday, December 13. Both walks start at 2pm and participants should meet at the visitor centre. The usual entrance charge of £3 per car (free for members) applies. Sturdy footwear is recommended as well as warm clothing and a torch. Booking is essential - search for RSPB Fairburn Ings or RSPB St Aidan’s at www.eventbrite.co.uk
