Time is running out for businesses in Leeds to make sure of a place at one of the biggest events in the city’s employment calendar.

The Leeds Digital Job Fair 2.0 will be held in the main auditorium of the First Direct Arena on Thursday, October 20.

It will showcase hundreds of job and apprenticeship opportunities in the digital and tech sector from graduate level upwards.

And employers were today advised to move quickly if they want to book one of the final few exhibitor slots.

Organiser Amy De-Balsi, founder of online jobs board Herd, said: “Leeds Digital Job Fair 2.0 will be even bigger and better than the inaugural event in February, which was a huge success.

“There will be more employers, more candidates and more expert speakers across an expanded programme of presentations and seminars.

“We have also added a number of novel elements including the chance for candidates to get advice on their CV and network with business leaders in our chill-out zones – complete with air hockey.

“There are a handful of exhibitor slots remaining, but I would urge employers to snap these up without delay as we’re heading towards a complete sell-out.”

The jobs fair is being staged with the support of LeedsBID, Leeds City Council, Leeds Beckett University and the First Direct Arena.

High-profile employers that have already signed up include Callcredit, Sky Bet, Google, Lhasa, NHS Digital and Thompson Brand Partners.

Firms interested in securing a stand are asked to e-mail amy@herd.careers for more details.

The Yorkshire Evening Post recently launched a new Digital City platform in partnership with Sky Betting & Gaming.

The platform is designed to highlight the giant strides being made by a sector that boasts around 3,000 organisations in Leeds.
