GLORIOUS sunshine helped ensure this year’s Yeadon Carnival was a major successes
Youngsters donned fancy dress outfits to join in the Yeadon Carnival walking parade along Town Street on Saturday afternoon before the main event got underway on Yeadon Tarn fields.
Shops on Yeadon High Street were invited to take part in a best dressed shop window competition, which was based on this year’s carnival theme of Independence Day, July 4.
The competition winner was vintage and retro store Ruby Tuesday.
The Rapide Brothers were a big hit with crowds as they held clown workshops and a mini circus at the carnival, which also hosted a classic car show.
Yeadon Carnival chairman Tim Wood said: “It was a great success. There was a great turnout and the weather was excellent.”
