MUSIC fans will descend on Granary Wharf as it prepares to host another festival this summer.

Ossett Brewery – which is behind local venues Archie’s, The Hop and Candle Bar – is tuning up for the Wharfest 2 event on Saturday, September 24.

Musicians that are so far signed up for the festival include Sebastian John, Waiting for Wednesday, The Sinners, The Snapp and Brothers On The Slide.

The festival will span all three Ossett Brewery venues, with Archie’s playing host to DJ Tav.

It’s the second Wharfest event after its successful launch last year.

Speaking at the time, Ossett Brewery’s managing director Jamie Lawson said: “Wharfest aims to bring people who don’t know or haven’t discovered Granary Wharf yet and help put it on the map, as well as celebrate the fact we have the new Southern Entrance, which is just fantastic.”

The £20m Leeds train station entrance is certainly bringing more people to – and through – the area than event before, and it’s fantastic to see the South Bank finally coming into its own.
