‘Sudden death’ of man found in Castleford ginnel by walker

Police are carrying out inquiries after the discovery of a man’s body in a ginnel.

A member of the public called police after coming across the body on the path at Frisian Close in Ferry Fryston at around 6.15am on Tuesday.

Emergency services attended the scene but the matter is currently being treated as a sudden death.

West Yorkshire Police said enquiries were ongoing to identify the body.
