Student Molly Wragg was crowned Miss Leeds 2014 in the finals held at Baracoa Luxe bar on Saturday night.

The Leeds University art and design student beat 21 other beauties vying for the title.

Student Rhianna Higgins came second and fashion student Maryann Cunningham third. The pageant had seven rounds including a evening wear, charity, fashion, and popularity - voting. Molly won the charity round, raising a total of £1,020, which automatically placed her in the top ten.

She then won the contest and will compete in Miss England in June.

Harrogate teen Lucy Morgan - whose inspirational recovery from 25 per cent burns after a freak explosion near a bonfire was featured in the YEP last week - finished in the top ten.
