'Stuck lorry' causes traffic disruption in Leeds

Traffic has been disrupted on a main road into Leeds this morning after a lorry was reportedly stuck at a railway bridge.

Congestion occurred and Metro said at around 7.15am that some Arriva buses have been diverted due to the incident on Whitehall Road.

The lorry appeared to have toppled on to the wall under the bridge near Copley Hill industrial estate near to The Dragon pub.

Police have attended the scene.

The travel company said that 209, 252, 254, 255 services were being diverted via Gelderd Rd in both directions due to the incident.
