“I am also grateful to NHS Digital for providing me with the platform to showcase my skills. But there’s so much more still to do.

“I can see how much more we can achieve for the NHS and this challenge motivates me every day just as it does everybody else in the organisation, male or female.”

Elizabeth joined NHS Digital in September 2016 and works on its Citizen Identity Programme as a digital services delivery graduate.

She said: “I was shocked to be nominated, let alone shortlisted.

“I am over the moon to have been recognised for my efforts, despite still being relatively new to the organisation.”
