A professional sports performance coach has launched a free fitness class in north Leeds.

Duncan McCarthy, founder of Ignite Sports, hopes to bring his skills to the masses with his new Ignite Active fitnesses classes in Roundhay.

Totally free of charge, the classes will be 30 mintues long every Saturday morning at 8am at the Roundhegians Rugby Club, on Chelwood Drive.

Duncan said the classes are part of his mission to encourage people to get active to improve their lifestyle and help combat rising levels of obesity. He said: “We live in an incredible and constantly developing world which we want to enjoy and when studies
show that obesity reduces life expectancy on average by nine years, it really makes sense to look after our health and wellbeing.”

He added: “If we can get one single person active who wasn’t previously, that is progress.”

For more information on the Ignite Active classes email Duncan at duncan@ignitesports.co.uk or phone him on 07766 771431.
