A children’s playground in Morley is to get a £100,000 facelift.

The playground, on Magpie Lane, will get new swings, a see-saw, a roundabout, and a climbing frame. It will also be re-fenced and given a new safety surface – 20 years after it was first opened.

Coun Neil Dawson said: “It is important for the quality of life of people in the town that their children have decent, healthy, safe places to play.”

Work is due to finish by the end of next month.
