A South Leeds campaign for a new skatepark has won backing from councillors to relocate.
The 8010 campaign was set up last year, in memory of Leeds skateboarder Dan Parrinder who died in a car crash.
The existing, poorly lit skatepark in Springhead Park, Rothwell was deemed too dangerous by residents.
Councillors are supporting the decision to relocate the skatepark to a different area within the park.
But to apply for planning permission the group must produce a design for the new build.
At 6pm on Wednesday, June 17 they are inviting skaters of all ages and ability, to The Works skatepark in Hunslet, to share ideas and assist with the drawing up of a design.
