South Leeds: Produce showcased at Morley Food Market
A new outdoor food market has been launched to showcase local businesses through monthly spreads of Yorkshire produce.
At the first Morley Food Market, some 15 stalls helped draw customers onto Queen Street. Traders at the first market included The Little Yorkshire pie company, Little Badger Cider Company and businesses from the town’s indoor market.
Town Centre manager Rachael Kennedy said: “This was our first event and it is bringing vibrance to a quieter part of the high street. It is going to be drawing in people and making them willing to travel to the area.”
The market will be held on the last Friday of every month.
