The Hunslet Warriors ARLFC Ladies team won a national competition open to community and school clubs staged by Batchelors Peas, official partner of the 2016 First Utility Super League.

Player Nikita Hunter, 27, entered the competition on behalf of her teammates – winning them the chance to join Rhinos stars Carl Ablett, Liam Sutcliffe, Ash Goulding and Ash Handley for drills and exercises last week.

She said: “It has been an incredible experience to meet and train with our heroes.

“We are keen to raise awareness of women’s rugby and go from strength to strength next season. We’d love any new players to get in touch – no experience is needed.”
