Guiseley is getting ready to ramp up the countdown to Christmas with its lights switch-on this weekend.
Emmerdale actors James Hooton (Sam Dingle) and Karen Blick (Lydia Hart) will do the honours at the event on Sunday.
The event runs from 2pm onwards with the duo flicking the switch at 6pm.
The event will provide something for all the family with stalls selling a range of items and gifts, a food court, funfair and on the main stage a variety of acts and singers will provide entertainment.
As well as the stage entertainment, local community arts company Codswallop CIC will be staging a variety of events.
If you prefer something a bit quieter you can pop into the Codswallop Creation Station for scrap lantern making for all ages.
Local MP Stuart Andrew said: “The money that we have raised at the various street party events has been put to improving the Christmas lights around the town.
“I hope everyone will notice the difference as we build up the display each year.
“None of this could have been possible without the fantastic support of all the volunteers who have worked so hard put on this event, and the support from local businesses who have provided sponsorship to help us.
“I would also like to thank to our local councillors for the contribution provided from their budget.”
In addition, this year’s event will have a certain poignancy to it as a special light has been made in memory of local resident Wendy Fawell who lost her life in the Manchester bombings.
Wendy’s favourite flower was the stargazer lily, and as a remembrance from her children, a special light has been made and will be placed outside the town’s Red Lion pub.
