A wheeled and wonderful parade of handmade creations pulled by cyclists will bring a town to life next week.
The Fantastical Cycle Parade will see a procession of moving sculptures including a 4metre-high roaming bug, a kinetic mythical bird and a fully articulated fish pulled through Todmorden on April 26.
The unusual spectacle put together by the Handmade Parade of artists and sculptors will also feature live music and performers when it sets off from Centre Vale Park at 1pm and makes its way into the town centre. The parade is one of 47 cultural commissions taking place as part of the Yorkshire Festival 2014 – the first arts festival to precede the Grand Depart in its 111-year history.
