ICE CUBE, MILLENNIUM SQUARE, LEEDS

It’s time to get your skates on... literally, as the ever popular Ice Cube attraction returns to Millennium Square from Feb 2-25. The covered, ice rink allows skaters to enjoy an outdoor skating experience whatever the weather. Accessible skating for all, Penguin skating stabilisers available for budding skaters, skate tuition over a four week group course or individual lessons. ‘Quick stop’ refreshments available. Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult (aged 18 or over) at all times.

LEGO CIRCUS, LEEDS

This event combines building your favourite creations from Lego with stop-motion animation.

Suitable for children from four upwards (adult supervision required), events will be taking place at a library near you throughout the half term. Lego Circus is sure to be a firm favourite with children.

TOM FOOLERY, BOSTON SPA

Tom Foolery in Boston Spa will be staging a screening of The Lion King for parents and children on Thursday February 15, from 11am. Entry is free but children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be snacks or a pizza and drinks available from the bar. Owner Marcus Emadi said it would be a friendly, relaxing event.

The bar also stages new regular jazz nights on a Wednesday and Tuesdays quiz night nights with a £100 prize.

SKI SCHOOL, CHILL FACTORE

With the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang starting on February 9, snow sport action will be underway throughout February half term this year. For those inspired by the ski and snowboard stars on TV, there will be the opportunity at Chill Factore, Manchester to take to the slope and have fun with snow sports, at all ability levels.

It’s perfect for those who want to learn for the first time. The Chill Factore ‘Guarantee to Ski/Snowboard’ course is ideal for beginners.

LOVE BIRDS, LOTHERTON HALL

It’s ‘Love Birds’ fortnight at Lotherton Hall from February 10-25, which means you can enjoy a variety of avian-based activities throughout the house and gardens, including bird keeper talks, arts and crafts and feeder making every Sunday and Wednesday.

Have a go at their Love Birds trail around the house and estate. The house will be open downstairs, where there will be plenty of bird-themed crafts for all the family.
