They may be approaching their 40th birthday as a band but Simple Minds are very much alive and kicking.

And to celebrate the success of their latest album, Big Music, they have announced a date at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.

Jim Kerr and co will play the £60m venue on Friday, November 27, with support from The Stranglers.

Tickets for the concert go on sale this Friday at 10am.

Purchases can be made online via the www.firstdirectarena.com website, over the phone by calling 0844 248 1585 or in person from the arena box office.

Simple Minds famously played Leeds’s Roundhay Park back in July 1989.
