Have your say

A little piece of Leeds history was found by reader Ruth Barrett, who posted a photo on Twitter of a copy of a 40-year-old Yorkshire Evening Post that she found in her loft.

The newspaper, dated September 17, 1976, featured the front page story headline “Crash bring new shock for MP”.

Now we’re challenging YEP readers to let us know if they can go one better and have even older copies of the newspaper.

If you have an old copy, send your picture of it to yep.newsdesk@ypn.co.uk along with your name and the date of the newspaper.

You can also share pictures with us on Twitter, by tweeting us @LeedsNews
