Adventurous children and adults with disabilities can make some waves next week at Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre.
The centre, based at Yeadon Tarn, will be holding a disability open day on April 28, which will give visitors the chance to use specially adapted equipment to take to the water and try sailing and rafted canoeing.
And those attending can also sample the centre’s unique artificial cave system, which is the only one of its kind in the country. The open day runs 1pm to 5pm and individual sessions are an hour long. Each session costs £5 and all courses must be pre-booked. Visit www.leeds.gov.uk/sailingcentre.
