Based on the film and the award-winning stage play, The Girls, which will feature songs by Take That’s Gary Barlow, will have its world premier at the Grand Theatre in November.

With just six weeks to opening night, the team behind the show have announced the cast, which will see Joanna Riding, playing Annie, the character based on Angela Baker and Claire Moore as Chris, based on Tricia Stewart.

Telling the story of the members of the Rylstone Women’s Institute, who famously bared all back in 1999 for a charity calendar, the rest of the ensemble will be Debbie Chazen, Sara Kestelman, Claire Machin, Vivien Parry and Harriet Thorpe.
