See inside former Yorkshire Bank in Chapel Allerton as conversion of the building begins

The Yorkshire Bank on Stainbeck Corner in Chapel Allerton closed in 2017 and the lease has now been taken on by coffee chain Starbucks.Letting agents Stoneacre Properties have released a video of the building's interior as it is gutted and renovated.

The new branch is expected to be open by the summer.

The 1920s building stood empty for around a year before a planning application from Starbucks was approved by Leeds City Council. The old bank has never had any other use.

It was offered for rent for an annual payment of around £60,000, which many residents claimed excluded independent businesses from being to afford the lease.

The chain has also agreed to carry out litter picks in the vicinity following concerns about discarded rubbish.

The opening hours have not been finalised, but Starbucks have requested permission to trade from 6.30am-7pm on weekdays and Saturdays and 7am-7pm on Sundays.
