Searched launghced for talented musicians to form Opera North Youth Orchestra

A search has been launched for talented young musicians to form an Opera North Youth Orchestra for a summer tour.

They will work alongside the Leeds based Youth Company to stage a one act opera called ‘Dr Ferret’s Bad Medicine Roadshow’ during the Buxton Fringe Festival and at shows in Hull and London.

Fifteen young wind, string, percussion and brass players are now being sought to work alongside the existing singers. The musicians need to be 14 to 19-years-old and at Grade 8 standard or above. To apply submit a short video showcasing your playing to youthensembles@operanorth.co.uk together with their contact details, age, playing experience, current grade and parent’s name.
