Search for owner of Shetland pony found dead in lane in Leeds

Police are trying to trace the owner of a Shetland pony found dead in south Leeds.

The animal’s body was discovered in a lane off Sharp Lane, Middleton, but did not have any identification tags.

Officers said it was unclear how the horse died as it did not appear to have suffered neglect or injury.
