A school in Pudsey has been closed today following a serious fire at a nearby industrial estate.

Robin Lane-based Crawshaw Academy posted a statement on its website saying it had been left without water supplies but expected to be open as usual tomorrow.

The full statement reads: “School closed to students Wednesday 7th February.

“This has been caused by the school having no water as a consequence of work being undertaken by the Fire Services.

“Please check this website for information regarding Thursday although we expect to be open as normal.”

Emergency services were called to the fire at Moulds Patterns and Models on Kent Road shortly before 10pm yesterday.
