Today he clocked up his 11th fundraiser for the national charity appeal as he donned full Stormtrooper armour for a 16-hour solo busk at Leeds City Station.

He hoped to raise more than £5,000 by the day’s end, including a £500 target for online donations.

As the buskathon neared its conclusion at 9pm, he had already collected more than £650 via his online fundraising page.

On his page, Will explained: "I choose to do this marathon event every year because I can. There are thousands of children in the UK that do not ask to be in the situations that they find themselves in and the money that I raise goes straight to them to help them through these tough times.

"I may go through a bit of pain and discomfort during the 16 hours but it is nothing compared to what some of these kids face day in day out.

"I have seen firsthand what music does for children that find themselves caught up in these situations - it takes them to a better place, to a happier place where they can forget the stresses and strains the world has thrown at them, to a place where they can loose themselves in their own world."
