Santa in the sky for lucky children

Seriously ill and disabled children from across Yorkshire jetted off to search for Santa thanks to a special flight departing from Leeds Bradford Airport.

Budget airline Monarch invited 150 youngsters being cared for by local charities and hospices to take to the skies for the festive hour-long plane trip.

They were joined in the cabin by Father Christmas and were treated to activities including a sing-along, magic show, face painting and balloon modelling.
