Runaway van crashed into lamppost outside Leeds Town Hall

A runaway van rolled down the steps in front of Leeds Town Hall before crashing into a lamppost.

West Yorkshire Police said its officers had been called to the Headrow in Leeds at 12.40pm today.

It was reported that a Renault Panel van had crashed into a lamppost.

A police spokesman said nobody was injured during the collision.
