RUGBY League fans were last night asked to donate to two charities helping Castleford Tigers star Lee Jewitt and his wife Rebecca as their premature twin baby sons continue to fight for life in hospital.

Nine-week-old Noah and Oliver Jewitt, who were born 14-weeks prematurely, have undergone a number of blood transfusions and remain seriously ill at a hospital in Liverpool. A bucket collection for two charities chosen by Lee and Rebecca Jewitt was due to be held at the club’s home game against Warrington Wolves last night. Cash raised will be shared between rapid response motorcycle based charity Blood Bikers and the Liverpool Women’s Charity.
